Danielle de Niese

Danielle de Niese

The days of the opera singer only singing on stage are basically over. Performers are now expected to bring acting skills and a certain dramatic flair to enhance their vocal performances on stage.

Soprano Danielle de Niese already sings and acts on stage, and a few years ago she was asked if she could add some pretty demanding dance moves to her performance of Cleopatra in Handel's Giulio Cesare (Julius Caesar).

The music heard here is "Da Tempeste Il Legno Infranto" from Handel's Giulio Cesare (Decca).

You can see soprano Danielle de Niese sing and dance her way through Handel's Giulio Cesare on her website: www.danielledeniese.com.Click on the VIDEO link to see the Guilio Cesare video, as well as other options.
